Major passive fire protection manufacturer opens Dubai facility

Siderise— a global expert in the manufacture of high-performance passive fire protection solutions for the building envelope – has opened a new manufacturing facility in Dubai, enabling it to better serve its customers in the United Arab Emirates and beyond.

The new facility is currently focused on producing Siderise’s most popular open state cavity barrier in the region for ventilated cladding façade systems, RH25-120/90, and is already demonstrating how it is improving customer service on several projects, reducing lead times from six weeks to just three to five days depending on order quantity. This reliable and quick turnaround is helping fulfil increasing demand whilst also helping project teams operate more smoothly, efficiently, and within schedule.

Martyn Gillespie, Managing Director of Siderise MEIAP, explained the significance of the new site:

In addition to improving the experience for developers, architects, and contractors looking to use Siderise products, the new site has also enabled the manufacturer to grow its Dubai team and offer new job roles in the city. It has created four new operational positions and promoted Senior Project & Site Service Engineer, Dinesh Sivaramakrishnan, to Operations Manager.

He said of the promotion:

“I am thrilled to become the Operations Manager for Siderise Dubai, allowing me to further contribute to our business’ development in the region. The new facility has been set up and commissioned by Siderise engineers and will be ran in line with high operational and quality standards set in our main UK manufacturing site.
