Dräger, an international leader in the fields of medical and safety technology,
has appointed Alex Dryden as Government and National Resilience Business Development Manager to strengthen Dräger’s support for fire and rescue services and government organisations in furthering national resilience.
Alex’s sales and business development career has covered industrial and firefighting vehicles, and military and
emergency service technology.
He also served as a retained firefighter in Suffolk. In his new role at Dräger, Alex will support fire
and rescue services, police, ambulance and other Category 1 responders to understand how Dräger’s technologies, expertise and wider capabilities can support operational readiness and national resilience. This will include connecting operational requirements
with the capabilities needed to prevent, withstand and recover from major incidents.
Alex says he is excited by the opportunity to combine his experience with Dräger’s wider expertise:
“What attracted me to Dräger is the opportunity to be part of a business where supporting Category 1 responders
is at the heart of what it does. Dräger has a strong reputation for innovation, quality and customer relationships, and there is a real opportunity to work with customers as a trusted partner.”
Matt Evans, Head of Government for UK and Ireland Safety Division, who Alex will report to, says Alex brings
a strong understanding of the operational needs of the emergency services:
“Dräger supports national resilience through technology for life, across the full cycle of preparedness, response
and recovery. Resilience is built by combining the right equipment with training, emergency planning, asset management and ongoing support. Alex’s ability to connect customer requirements with these wider capabilities will be a real asset as we work with partners
across the sector to keep people and critical services ready when they are needed most.”
Alex will be at the Emergency Services Show, 16-17 November, looking forward to connecting with his network and
showcasing Dräger capabilities. Dräger’s stand number is M70.
