Flexible + Reliable + Practical: Apollo Fire Detectors Launch New Additions To The Reach Wireless Range

Apollo Fire Detectors Ltd is excited to introduce the REACH Black range to the already established REACH Hybrid Wireless family.

REACH Wireless launched in 2022 and offers a flexible solution for extensions, outbuildings, heritage or listed buildings and temporary or retail structures – making it ideal for time-sensitive installations where lengthy downtime or disruption is not an option. It also allows an already existing fire system to be extended by bridging wireless devices to the wireless loop using the REACH Apollo Loop Interface.

Since a new fire loop is not required to seamlessly extend an existing loop, REACH Wireless reduces the overall cost and effort to add a loop card or panel.

Adding black detectors to the range increases the versatility of REACH as the additions are perfect for exposed or black ceilings in industrial-themed commercial spaces.

REACH Black is being released with 3 detector types: Optical with a Dual-Optical chamber; Heat with a selectable A1R & BS mode; and a multi-sensor combining the Dual-Optical chamber with an A1R Heat sensor. All this comes in a device that’s only 110mm wide and 70mm deep. Audio Visual additions include a sounder or sounder VAD base. The new VAD base offers up to a C-3-15 coverage with the white flash and C-3-10 with the red flash version, and both have the ability to operate standalone, or in conjunction with any of the listed detectors.

This hybrid solution gives the installer and end-user flexibility of application by combining REACH Wireless and any Apollo wired system, reliability of performance for the life of the system, and a practical process for setting up the system using a simple yet powerful survey tool and a wide range of products.
