Amphicruiser Rescue drives like an off-road truck and operates as a fully functional boat — ready for immediate deployment in seconds, with no bridgeheads and no water-level limits.
GRAFENAU, Germany — June 24, 2026 — Emergency Mobility Services GmbH is expanding the European reach of the Amphicruiser Rescue, the world’s only amphibious 4×4 that performs as both a genuine off-road vehicle and a fully functional boat. As river flooding and flash floods strike European communities with growing frequency and force, the Amphicruiser gives fire, rescue and civil-protection services a single platform that reaches victims when roads are submerged and bridges are gone — transitioning from road to water in seconds.
Recent flood seasons across Central and Western Europe have repeatedly shown the same gap: when water rises faster than expected, conventional trucks cannot enter it and rescue boats cannot reach the scene by road. The Amphicruiser closes that gap. Built in Germany and already certified for both road and water in Europe, it drives to the scene at highway speed, enters the water without a launch ramp, and navigates at unlimited water levels to carry out evacuations and rescues.
BUILT FOR THE MISSION
- Immediate deployment during floods and evacuations — from road to water in seconds, no bridgeheads required.
- Safe navigation at unlimited water levels, with reversible 100 HP marine jet propulsion.
- Road speed up to 135 km/h; water speed of 9 km/h (5 knots).
- Carries 5 crew plus a 300 kg payload for rescue and medical equipment.
- 360° polyurethane fender system for damage protection in debris-filled water.
- Low maintenance and intuitive operation — easy to both drive and sail.

PROVEN PLATFORM, CERTIFIED PERFORMANCE
The Amphicruiser Rescue is crafted in Germany on the proven Toyota Land Cruiser J79 platform, combining the reliability and Europe-wide parts availability that fleet operators know with a fully integrated amphibious capability. The vehicle is independently certified by TÜV for road use and by Lloyd’s Register as a vessel — a dual certification unmatched in its class. A worldwide service network supports continuous operation even under extreme conditions, and maintenance requires only about 30 minutes of additional work compared with a standard Land Cruiser. Diesel, petrol and full-electric drivetrains are available.
Typical European end users include municipal and regional fire and rescue services, civil-protection and disaster-relief organisations (such as THW and national equivalents), water authorities, defence and border units, coast guards, and humanitarian organisations including the Red Cross and IFRC.
“When a community floods, the difference between rescue and tragedy is often the first 30 minutes — and whether a team can actually reach the people who are cut off. The Amphicruiser removes the line between land and water. For European responders facing more frequent and more violent flooding, that is a capability that saves lives.”
— Jacco van der Stelt, Amphicruiser
EXPERIENCE IT ON THE WATER
Amphicruiser invites media and agency representatives to a live on-water demonstration at its European demonstration centre in the Netherlands, where the vehicle can be seen transitioning from road to water and operated in real rescue scenarios. For those unable to travel, the company offers exclusive video and high-resolution imagery, a virtual briefing on request, and the opportunity to join one of its scheduled European demonstration days.
The Amphicruiser Rescue is available now for evaluation, demonstration and procurement by qualified European agencies and partners.
