Havant, UK – Apollo Fire Detectors has announced the successful integration of Cranford Controls into its business, bringing together two respected British fire safety manufacturers with a shared commitment to engineering excellence, innovation and customer service.
The integration combines Apollo’s expertise in intelligent fire detection with Cranford’s specialist capabilities in audio-visual alarm devices, evacuation solutions and fire door control products, creating a broader and more complementary life-safety offering for customers across the UK and international markets.
Kate Clark, Managing Director of Apollo Fire Detectors, says, “This is an exciting step forward for both businesses. By bringing together Apollo’s expertise in fire detection with Cranford’s specialist knowledge of audio-visual alarm and evacuation solutions, we can deliver greater value to our customers and create a stronger platform for future growth. Just as importantly, we are combining two organisations with shared values around quality, engineering excellence and UK manufacturing.”
The Cranford Controls brand is being retained, with its product range continuing to be manufactured at the Alton site and available through existing distributor channels. All associated documentation and product support will now be available from Apollo. For our many shared customers, this transition will also simplify the purchasing process: from the 2nd November 2026, both Cranford Controls and Apollo products can be placed on a single purchase order.
“As Cranford becomes part of Apollo, I am most looking forward to the opportunity to combine Cranford’s specialist experience in alarm devices with Apollo’s detection excellence, heritage and wider market reach,” says Neil Young, Director at Cranford Controls. “It is an exciting next chapter that will enable us to strengthen our product offering, share technical knowledge and continue supporting customers with innovative and high-quality fire safety solutions.”
The move is set to combine the expertise and manufacturing capabilities of both organisations, helping to develop high-quality, compliant fire safety products and provide better support for customers. Both Apollo and Cranford remain committed to designing, engineering and manufacturing in the UK, with a continued focus on innovation and investment in fire safety technology.
