UK’s 2026 King’s Award for Enterprise winner shows solutions to protect data centres and battery energy storage systems on booth 370.
28 May 2026, Dartford, UK: Kentec Electronics, one of the world’s leading providers of fire detection and alarm solutions, is exhibiting at NFPA Conference and Expo for the first time on booth 370.
Attendance at the most important event in the US fire industry’s calendar demonstrates the growing importance of the market to UK-based Kentec. Only last month, Kentec won a coveted King’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade in recognition of the growth of the firm’s international sales.
Kentec will be showing delegates its Sigma ZXT control panel, which has an Underwriters Laboratories (UL) listing at the latest UL 864 10th edition standard. This ensures compliance with one of the world’s most widely recognised fire safety benchmarks – and makes it the foundation of fully compliant early-warning fire detection and suppression systems in North America.
Designed to protect critical assets as well as support uninterrupted business operations, the Sigma ZXT panel is particularly suited to high-growth, high-risk applications such as data centres and battery energy storage systems (BESS), where events that might lead to thermal runaway and devastating fires must be identified quickly and reliably.
Also on booth 370 will be the K-Detect-iON calibration-free flammable gas detector, which integrates seamlessly with the Sigma ZXT panel to provide rapid detection, robust performance and peace of mind as part of a complete BESS fire protection solution.
The only UL 2075 calibration-free hydrogen sensor currently on the market, K-Detect-iON delivers optimal protection by allowing real-time monitoring of often remote energy storage facilities, alongside rapid response in the event of an incident. It needs no calibration for at least 10 years – reducing service costs, minimising site disruption and ensuring consistent performance throughout a lengthy lifespan.
“UL-compliance means we can bring a proven and trusted platform to our valued US customers”, says Johnny Martin, Business Development Manager at Kentec Electronics Ltd.
NFPA delegates can be assured of a warm welcome on booth 370 to see how Kentec’s solutions are ideal for critical applications like data centres where there is significant fire risk. Drop by and see us!” Johnny continued.
