Fire and rescue services from across the UK to come together once again to share practical insight into modern fire station design and estate management
Delegate booking is now open for the Fire Station Design and Construction Workshop (FSDW) 2026, returning on 12–13 October at the Crowne Plaza, Stratford-upon-Avon, following a sold-out 2025 event.
The two-day conference brings together estates managers, facilities teams, architects, consultants, contractors, and specialist suppliers to share practical insight into the planning, design, and delivery of modern fire stations and training facilities.
Last year’s workshop marked the event’s biggest year to date, with all tickets sold, exhibition space fully booked, and attendance increasing by 35% year-on-year. Delegates from 24 fire and rescue services joined more than 20 private sector organisations, reinforcing its position as a key event for those shaping fire service estates.
The 2026 programme will focus on the challenges currently facing fire service estates, including decarbonisation, maintaining and upgrading ageing facilities, adapting stations to evolving operational requirements, and responding to emerging risks such as PFAS contamination.

“Fire and rescue services across the UK are facing many of the same challenges, but opportunities to openly share experiences and practical solutions are still relatively limited,” said Marcus Carter, Events Co-ordinator at SHW Events. “FSDW gives delegates the opportunity to learn from other services, compare approaches, and take away ideas they can apply within their own estates.”
A key part of the event’s appeal is its collaborative format, with a strong emphasis on open discussion and knowledge-sharing between public and private sector attendees. This approach has helped establish FSDW as a must-attend event for professionals involved in fire station design, construction, and estate management.
With demand continuing to grow, the move to a larger venue for 2026 reflects both the event’s expansion and the increasing need for cross-industry collaboration in delivering modern fire service facilities.
