Fire and Rescue Service applications
Fire and Rescue Service applications are seemingly endless, proven by the fact that the more we have worked with the Service, the more we can identify with the everyday challenges faced by crews attending incidents where current vehicles may be too big to deploy and too large to leave at a scene.
Alfa Drop Box features a unique and flexible design that allows easy, ground-level loading, with the option to exchange or totally remove the storage box or mobile accommodation from its chassis. The prime mover can then be redeployed enabling you to expand your business without increasing your vehicle fleet.

Unique design to support operational needs
Alfa Drop Box can be lowered to the ground within six seconds and fully demounted with 22 seconds. The prime mover can be any 3.5t front-wheel-drive vehicle, driven on a standard driving licence with up to a 1.2t payload. For an increased payload of just under 2t, 4.25t options are available. The benefit of designing your bespoke box application to suit your needs, ensures your vehicle is not just ‘fit for purpose’ but can be ‘designed for purpose’.
Starting with three basic box types − Flat Deck, Standard box and T Box (see advert opposite) – Alfa Drop Box can produce multiple applications. With the possibility of windows, doors front and rear, different power sources and curtain-sided, roller-shuttered or barn doors, our dedicated design team will create your application with CAD drawings and colour images prior to sign off and build.
Our fold-out products, the F1 and F2 (see advert opposite), create greater space with overall maximum widths of up to 8m; applications include command and control, mobile immersive training centres, welfare units and medical treatment centres. Originating from either a Standard or T Box and transported on either a 3.5t or 4.25t chassis, the fold-out boxes are deployed easily and quickly.
Alfa Drop Box are currently working with Staffordshire Fire & Rescue to roll out immersive classrooms for their Safe & Sound project. Using just two prime movers and four classrooms their mobile project is accessible to all districts within their Service area, supporting their working partners to join them on the road.
Total solution
Using advanced thermoplastic composites, super lightweight material, Alfa Drop Box can weld, mould and bend materials resulting in increased strength without comprising payload. These build processes eliminate the need to use metal extrusions and rubber seals. The resulting look is sleek and smart, providing the best finish for painting, wrapping and company livery.
