Last year was a busy one for NFPA as we continued our digital transformation. As a leading fire and life safety organisation, our goal is to provide you with the latest news and information and the right tools and resources to help keep citizens, workers and first responders safe. Innovation is essential to help us keep pace, and it continues to drive changes in how we work. You’ve told us how important it is to access resources faster so you can effectively tackle the threats you face in today’s dynamic safety environment, and we continue to listen and respond.
Our latest effort is a reimagined website, NFPA.org, that we launched in November. The project, which began two years ago, was ambitious. But the improvements we’ve made in web connectivity and critical infrastructure have been worth the wait. The site includes new features that provide our users with the most relevant content, products and services quickly and seamlessly.
NFPA customers will notice more self-service account options to provide a more convenient shopping experience. Everything from order history to notification preferences, payment information, and subscription services will be accessible from this single waypoint. A new customer service webpage includes a robust FAQ section with answers to many customer questions, minimising the need to pick up the phone. Need to find information related to a specific safety topic? A straightforward search bar will help you find resources faster, with added filters yielding more accurate results. The content on our new website is in both English and Spanish, and we are using a more dynamic translation platform that will allow us to provide future content in multiple languages to support our growing global audiences.
The new NFPA.org remains true to the association’s mission to eliminate death, injury, property and economic loss due to fire, electrical and related hazards. It’s helping visitors better communicate with us. It’s introducing individuals and organisations to NFPA and the ways we can support their roles in the safety community. It is, quite literally, revolutionising the way we deliver information to all of you.
The new site is just one of many exciting ways NFPA is investing in the future to help you gain the knowledge and training you need. We will continue monitoring the site’s performance and making the necessary adjustments to improve your user experience. Visit the new NFPA.org and discover all it has to offer.
