In the course of their work, firefighters are subjected to many dangers and often risk their own health to rescue and protect other people as well as their property and possessions. However, in order to be able to protect the health of those who fight fires as well as possible in the first place, the selection of the right protective and firefighting clothing is of enormous importance. With the protective suits from the FIRE BEAST Collection, TEXPORT® offers optimal protection and the best performance even for the toughest demands.
Features and equipment at the highest Texport level
Originally, the models of the FIRE BEAST Collection were specially designed for the demands and needs of fire brigades in Great Britain. Thanks to their extraordinary properties, top performance and, not least, modern design, FIRE BEAST protective suits have also been received well internationally.
Some of the most innovative features from TEXPORT were realized in the FIRE BEAST. These include the AIR BLOCKER® isolation system installed in the shoulder area, the proven HPX SYSTEM® for easy and cost-effective replacement of the zipper and the segmented reflective stripes, TRIPLE FABRIC®. These textile reflective stripes do not compromise wear comfort and are significantly more durable than the reflectors conventionally available on the market.
PBI®NEO® – the outer material for the highest demands
Numerous suggestions from British firefighting agencies were integrated into the development of the FIRE BEAST suit, which are also of great advantage in other countries. Thus, for example, all pull-tab pockets and flaps are finished in the contrasting colour red so that they can be more easily seen in bad visibility. Instead of attached surface pouches, internal pockets are built in to make the jacket more compact. The features are complemented by a practical glove holder, located under the radio pocket.
The innovative character of the Salzburg manufacturer is also reflected in the outer material. The PBI NEO outer material specially developed for TEXPORT is designed to provide the wearer with the best possible protection even at high levels of heat. This makes its protection 86% higher than that demanded by the Norm EN 469 on direct contact with flame. Additionally, the FIRE BEAST’s outer material does not crack after direct contact with flame but remains elastic. Customers can choose two configurations of the material structure as needed: The four-layer structure X-TREME® is the best choice, if even more heat protection is required. The three-layer structure X-TREME light is ideal if the lowest weight possible is needed while requiring extraordinary heat protection. The jackets and trousers of both X-TREME models can be combined with each other easily.
High durability meets top design
Not every emergency response call is a fire call. That’s why the topics of care and durability are top priorities at TEXPORT. Here, materials managers will be pleased to know that re-impregnating the items is only necessary after around 30 washes. This saves work and costs. Moreover, the FIRE BEAST models occupy the top places in international comparisons in terms of mechanical wear and tear. This means that fewer repairs are needed, and the items remain durable for longer, which, over the long term, justifies the purchase cost.
It is no accident that all models of the FIRE BEAST Collection have large open areas on the back. TEXPORT’s developers have intentionally provided a large branding area for custom designs.
The international success of the FIRE BEAST Collection by TEXPORT is no accident but is the result of combining numerous details and features that lead to extraordinary performance. This is how you can recognize that TEXPORT’s slogan– protecting you – is really being lived out.
Fire Seal flame and particle protection hood – no compromises
In order to optimally protect firefighters and their health, TEXPORT does not just keep an eye on ‘the big picture’ but also devotes attention to apparently minor things in protecting user health. The Fire Seal flame protection hood is an enormously important component for all-around optimal protection. While fighting fires, microscopically small, harmful particles such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) can be released at any time. If firefighters are not sufficiently protected, these particles can get onto the skin. By using a special fabrication technique and a specialised seam sealant, Fire Seal offers a real particle protection, confirmed in the laboratory, of 99.99%.
