First responders all over the world have to show flexibility in their tactics in the situations they confront, and in this their protective attire is subject to a wide variety of damaging influences. The most important factors for maintaining effective protection are an optimal fit and the wear comfort that comes with it. And it is exactly in these factors that the Fire Stretch protective suits by TEXPORT® open up a new dimension of excellence.
From the heart of Europe to the world
For more than 30 years, this manufacturer of highly specialised garments in the heart of Europe has dedicated itself to developing and producing protective attire for firefighters. The family-operated company, headquartered in Salzburg, Austria has been able, with its high-grade, functional products, to reach the position of Number 1 in Europe and has successfully taken this same course out into the world.
Fire Stretch – a synonym for good fit and comfort
With the protective suits from the Fire Stretch-product line, TEXPORT has succeeded at integrating features in a product group that cannot be found in any other protective suit in this form. Both the jacket and the trousers are made with optimal ergonomics and so provide an incomparable freedom of movement, which you will notice even as you put it on. Special stretch areas at neuralgic positions make this special comfort possible. The combination of light weight and optimal fit is unique at this level. Thus, the products from the Fire Stretch collection constitute the best choice in firefighting, technical rescues, or emergency medical response.

Features you can see
Through close cooperation with firefighters during the development phase, these protective suits offer extremely practical and safety-relevant features. Thus, an isolation system called Airblocker® in the shoulder area guarantees more safety with a permanent air cushion. The trapped air insulates this area and remains inflated when you wear breathing apparatus. A cushioned and ergonomically pre-formed kneepad avoids pressure points or pain, when first responders have to move around on their knees.
To prevent heat stress and exhaustion, the suits in the Fire Stretch collection have a breathability that is unique in the industry.
Thanks to a special osmosis block that is permanently watertight, actively breathable and wash resistant, the interior lining will remain completely dry even after several deployments and washings. Our wealth of practical experience informs the arrangement and workmanship of the pockets: whether in the upper-arm pocket, the radio pocket, front pockets or grip tabs, everything is where you need it to be when things get serious. Depending on the design, the jacket can optionally be equipped with the innovative belt systems by TEXPORT.
Innovative material construction
If one takes a closer look at the construction of the materials, the enormous experience and TEXPORT’s role as a technological leader are apparent. The X-TREME® Light construction that we developed in-house does justice to its name. X-TREME Light consists of an outer material, a thermal insulation layer (TNX liner) and a GORE-TEX membrane. It offers heat protection which provides values considerably above those demanded by the European Norm EN 469, both in direct contact with flame as well as in radiant heat. The focus in the development of X-TREME Light puts great emphasis on light weight and high breathability. X-TREME Light combines excellent protection with greatly improved wear comfort and is supported by the low material weight.
Another important feature is the shortened cut of this jacket, which noticeably increases the wearer’s freedom of movement. The innovative outer material IB-TEX® deserves special mention: With IB-TEX, TEXPORT has a Nomex®-premium product which sets new standards. The fabric produced exclusively for TEXPORT combines extremely high mechanical values with a unique aesthetic. The high durability of this fabric is achieved by working aromatic polyester into it instead of para-aramid.
No need to re-impregnate the items of clothing after even 40 wash cycles and its enormous tear resistance – 21-times higher than under EN 469 – guarantees a long operational life even with the very hardest deployments.
Whatever the predominant range of deployments may be, firefighters can depend on having the most ergonomical, most comfortable and highest-grade protective gear on their side-regardless of where in the world the emergency call occurs.
