Emergency One has announced that they intend to launch their new E1 Simon™ Aerial Ladder Platform (ALP) sometime this year. Featuring an astonishing boom range available from 23m to 64m, it empowers emergency responders to tackle even the most challenging scenarios. It’s 360° continuous rotation capability ensures enhanced manoeuvrability and precise positioning, enabling efficient access to and evacuation of individuals in distress.
The introduction of the E1 Simon marks a significant leap forward in emergency response technology. Manufactured in the UK and fully BS EN1777 compliant, the new appliance will be a price-competitive solution for the UK Fire Services with the added benefit of servicing and rapid parts support from the manufacturer, Emergency One (UK) Ltd. Its ability to be mounted on any chassis, coupled with its extended-reach telescopic tip boom, continuous 360° rotation and dual control positions, provides unparalleled flexibility and manoeuvrability during critical operations. By emphasizing safety, structural integrity, and innovative features, this ALP has the potential to reshape emergency response efforts, safeguarding lives and minimizing risks for both responders and those in need. In attendance at the show will be the E1 Magirus 42m Turntable Ladder, recently completed for Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service, further underscoring Emergency One’s commitment to delivering state-of-the-art vehicles tailored to specific needs. Additionally, the new West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service appliance will be featured on Emergency One’s stand and the E1 Incident Command Unit, designed for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service, will be showcased at the Connected Vehicle Zone (OS30), sponsored by Excelerate.
Earlier this year, Emergency One unveiled its latest equipment for combating electric vehicle (EV) fires, a growing concern for Fire and Rescue Services worldwide. Two notable innovations include the E1 Tactical Suppression System and the E1 EV Submersion Unit. The Tactical Suppression System allows crews to maintain a safe distance while cooling EV batteries or extinguishing Class A vehicle fires. It comes in various sizes to handle different types of vehicle fires and can be linked together to protect multiple vehicles simultaneously. On the other hand, the EV Submersion Unit submerges the battery element of an EV post-ignition, ensuring stability and preventing further damage from thermal runaway. This container is compatible with existing hook-lift primer movers and facilitates the containment of contaminated run-off.
Both of these innovative new products will be displayed at Emergency One’s outside stand OS10 at ESS 2023. In addition, Clan Tools and Plant will be present at the show, highlighting the industry-leading fire and rescue equipment from Lukas e3 Connect to the new Seek Thermal Imaging Cameras and everything in between.
