Investment Enhances Toughened Fire Safety Glass Offering to Meet Growing Market Demand
Pyroguard, the world’s leading independent provider of fire safety glass, has made a significant investment in a new Insulated Glazed Unit (IGU) production line at its Seingbouse facility in France. This strategic move is in direct response to increasing market demand for double and triple-glazed units, particularly within the steel and aluminium façade sectors, and will enable Pyroguard to provide seamless end-to-end solutions for its customers.
With this state-of-the-art production line, Pyroguard can now produce a wider range of IGU configurations entirely in-house, delivering greater production efficiencies, faster lead-times and enhanced product quality. By integrating these capabilities within its own facilities, Pyroguard is poised to offer its customers a superior level of service, providing a complete portfolio of toughened fire safety glass solutions from a single, streamlined source.
The investment follows a series of successful test programs conducted with market leading frame system manufacturers, including Forster, Jansen, Schüco and Reynaers, with demand for specialist fire rated IGU’s, especially facade applications, clearly on an upward trend. This new test evidence combined with its existing portfolio sees Pyroguard strongly positioned to continue to meet the evolving needs of the market, ensuring a dependable supply to customers.
Commitment to Innovation and Growth
Mathieu Joli, Managing Director at Pyroguard, commented: “We are dedicated to anticipating and responding to customer demands, with quality and service at the heart of everything we do. The addition of this new IGU production line allows us to directly address the growing trend for double and triple-glazed units, especially in the metal façade sector. By bringing this capability in-house, we can improve lead times, increase production efficiencies and offer more sustainable solutions, all while maintaining the high-quality standards our customers expect.
“This investment forms a key step in our wider growth strategy, driven by our commitment to provide technically advanced fire safety glass solutions. Our Seingbouse facility is central to this effort and with our enhanced capacity and cutting-edge technology, we are more equipped than ever to support our customers’ projects across Europe and beyond.”
Sustainability and Efficiency
The new production line incorporates state-of-the-art machinery, including fully automated sealing technology, contributing to lower carbon outputs by reducing the need for external transportation. This aligns with Pyroguard’s focus on sustainability, as the company continues to innovate in both fire safety and environmental responsibility.
Having manufactured toughened fire safety glass at the Seingbouse site for over 40 years, Pyroguard’s solutions are trusted for their compliance with stringent fire safety regulations, as well as their ability to meet the evolving demands of modern architecture.
