The Tall Building Fire Safety Network (TBFSN) has 1,500 members in 28 Countries around the World. TBFSN’s mission is to share information and best practice on all aspects of high rise/tall building fire safety. In support of this mission, and to tackle the future challenges of more complex tall buildings, TBFSN are launching three initiatives.
May 2023 will see the TBFSN delivering three themed conferences alongside FIREX at the Excel exhibition centre, London. Speakers from around the world will provide valuable insights into current best practice with regard to these three topical issues.
Tuesday, 16 May 2023 – High Rise Construction Fire Safety
Wednesday, 17 May – Green Fire Safety Issues
Thursday, 18 May – Crisis Management in High Rise Complex Buildings
High Rise Construction Fire Safety Conference – will cover all issues connected with the management of fire risk during all stages of construction fire safety in high-rise buildings. The conference will consider the latest guidance from the UK and Internationally, including Insurance requirements. Case studies of recent high-rise construction fires will be examined. Best practice along with innovative products and processes will be showcased.
Green Fire Safety Issues Conference – This timely event will look at the rapid changes that are taking place in order to make buildings ‘Greener’. It will focus on the themes of green walls and roofs, electric cars and stored energy, photovoltaic panels and devices, along with new systems for cooling and shading buildings. As the requirement for energy efficiency and carbon reduction drives innovation, fire-safety professionals must be part of the debate and well informed.
Crisis Management in High Rise Complex Buildings Conference – The need to have a robust response process when crisis events occur is well established. In modern complex buildings the evolving threat environment requires constant vigilance and assessment. As criminals, extreme weather, civil unrest and unknown threats emerge, security and building management must evolve their processes and plans. This conference will draw on the latest best-practice examples of crisis management in complex buildings.
