HESIS, one of the UK’s leading fire, security, mechanical & electrical maintenance firms, is supporting Integrated Health Projects (IHP) the JV between VINCI Construction UK and Sir Robert McAlpine with the delivery of two temporary rainbow hospitals in Wales.
Working with its sister company – HE Simm – along with VINCI Construction UK, HESIS is installing fire alarm and crash call systems as well as PA equipment across the two sites.
The first, in Deeside, has seen an indoor ice rink transformed – which is part of the local leisure centre – into a 419 bed unit. Whilst the site at Bangor University will become a 229 bed facility – both will help the NHS in its frontline fight against the coronavirus.
HE Simm is playing its part in the delivery via the installation of mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) systems.

Honeywell Gent products including fire panels, sensors and sensor sounders and PAVA Crash Systems (public address and voice alarm systems), were installed at the Deeside and Bangor University temporary rainbow hospitals facilities to help improve occupant safety in partnership with HESIS, one of the UK’s leading fire, security, mechanical and electrical maintenance teams. In less than three weeks, the teams installed and commissioned nearly 400 Gent fire and life safety products at the facilities. The facilities have more than 630 beds.
