Honeywell’s partnership with West Midlands Fire and Rescue Authority will enhance public and personal safety by consolidating training, lowering procurement costs to emergency services groups throughout the UK
Honeywell has signed a four-year agreement led by the West Midlands Fire and Rescue Authority to become the preferred provider of gas detectors and related training to over 120 police, fire, and ambulance authorities throughout the United Kingdom.
As part of a framework agreement, Honeywell will provide fixed-cost pricing on the company’s BW single- and multi-gas portable detectors and Intellidox docking/data management devices. In addition, Honeywell will provide free training at its Poole location on how to operate, calibrate and manage the instrumentation and use the system’s advanced data collection to improve inventory management, speed up response time for rescues and lower programme costs.
“Honeywell has always valued its special relationship with the emergency services community so we are intensely honoured to be selected by the Authority and broader network of emergency services to provide advanced gas monitoring systems and training,” said Peter Barratt, account manager, portable gas detection, Honeywell Industrial Safety.

“This partnership offers Honeywell a unique opportunity to advance the cause of personal and public safety while giving back extra value to the emergency services community in the way of streamlined training assistance and lower procurement and inventory management costs for emergency services groups.”
