The annual FIRE Conference returns on Thursday 13 November 2025 at the QEII Conference Centre in London focusing on the theme “Future-proofing our built environment”.
Developed by the Institution of Fire Engineers, Fire Protection Association, National Fire Chiefs Council and the Fire Sector Confederation, this one-day conference sponsored by headliner PlanB, will bring together key voices from the UK and international fire community.
In a joint statement, the conference organisers said: “Collaboration throughout our industry is essential in a time of accelerating change and ever complicated risk. The FIRE Conference is a unique opportunity for our community to gather, hear from experts and influencers, and define the future of fire safety policy and practice. We’re thrilled to feature many global perspectives and voices represented in this year’s agenda.”
This year’s extensive programme features high-impact plenary sessions, including reflections on key learnings from public inquiries such as Grenfell, and an international case study on the Moss Landing battery fire.
Two panel sessions will take place and include speakers from the Forestry Commission, Los Angeles County Fire Department, and former US Fire Administrator Dr. Lori Moore-Merrell.
Breakout sessions will provide more focused discussion on topics including competency in fire risk assessment, building safety challenges and what does successful residential engagement look like?
We look forward to welcoming everyone to what has become a fantastic event to discuss, debate and collaborate in a sector of constant change and reform.
