Leading fire safety supplier CheckFire has introduced two new PFAS-free fire extinguishers to The Green Range, marking another step forward in sustainable fire safety solutions. The CommanderEDGE 3ltr and Commander 6ltr wet chemical fire extinguishers are specifically designed for installation in commercial kitchens, catering, and canteen environments, supporting the risks posed by Class F fires (cooking oils and fats). Both of the new models are now Kitemarked to BS EN3 and feature a new hose design.
The latest additions to The Green Range feature high-performance fire ratings to effectively tackle Class F fires across a variety of settings. The new CommanderEDGE 3ltr wet chemical fire extinguisher boasts an impressive fire rating of 8A 75F in a compact unit, while the new Commander 6ltr wet chemical unit delivers the same powerful F Class rating and a higher A rating of 13A 75F.
With fluorine-free agents, these wet chemical fire extinguishers meet the growing industry demand for sustainable, eco-friendly options without compromising safety or performance. As part of CheckFire’s commitment to the environment, both units are part of The Green Range and feature the distinctive green crosshair logo.
Both the CommanderEDGE 3ltr and Commander 6ltr units now feature a redesigned bell-bottom hose, providing superior accuracy and effectiveness in extinguishing Class F fire., The new hose design offers better control and coverage for extinguishing Class F fires when compared to the previous lance model, which is being phased out.
